BREAKING: Ukraine to probe possible surveillance of U.S. ambassador, hacking of company at center of impeachment

Ukraine's interior ministry said Thursday it was initiating criminal proceedings as part of an investigation into whether any of its laws were broken after House Democrats released messages suggesting there was an operation to monitor Marie Yovanovitch, then the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine.

The ministry also said it was probing a suspected cyberattack by Russian military hackers on the energy company Burisma, which is at the center of the impeachment saga.
