Interesting that in one exchange between Lev Parnas and another gang member, Pompeo is described as next in line for firing after Bolton.

I suspect Pompeo sees himself as an honest survivor, keeping Trump from going totally rogue. And an irritant, from the gang's viewpoint.

That's not quite how he appears from the outside, f course.

Barr, of course, is careful to make sure his position is defensible, but he's as bad as Trump, insofar as his brain isn't filled with moths and he still does what he does.

Bottom line, McConnell can't play deaf & dumb without huge backlash.
