Since the Dem nomination process started the UK has forced a PM to step down, chosen a new party leader, and had a General Election in which 67% of eligible people voted.
The US process seems elaborate from over here. It distracts from actual government and/or opposition. I'd give the entire process a month, make the choice and get behind whoever is chosen.
