That winning on the battlefield doesn't end the war. It's just the beginning of the war of attrition that lasts for years after the purported winner takes control. Or thinks he does.

I know. I know. The Republicans do war to reward the folks that fund them. So they are okay with this. It's mostly poor folks in the bags. Mere units. They don't care any more than a kid cares when he pops his air rifle in the direction of a sparrow. It doesn't matter. They don't matter. There's money to be made.
