In amendment 6 there is this phrase "to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor;" When the Republicans were barred from calling witnesses that might exonerate the President that should have been a HUGE red flag. And I suspect that in any real court of appeals the whole impeachment sham would be thrown out.
But there were many red flags in that whole disgraceful episode.
If there is real evidence that Trump should be impeached, I'd like to know what it is. But the lies already told to try to 'convict' Trump of anything at all have moved the bar for 'evidence' to a very high standard. I suspect that many folks have decided that anything any democrat might say is a lie - unless it can be easily independently confirmed.
And then there is the elephant in the room the democrat party refuses to even acknowledge exists. "Is Joe Biden crooked or corrupt?" If Joe Biden is corrupt, then Trump did the right thing asking for help exposing him for prosecution.
What makes me think biden is corrupt? What was an American lawyer named hunter biden doing working for a Ukrainian gas company at an excessive salary? And then joe biden is on video bragging about committing the very crime Trump was accused of - withholding foreign aid for a quid pro quo. (Biden withheld aid to get a Ukrainian special prosecutor fired.)
But will your party address that issue? Of course not.
And you think 'We the People' should trust you or any of your party?

P.S. I suspect most American are, or will, hold the congress in contempt. Many of U.S. will despise the house democrats for holding a kangaroo court. Some will despise the Senate when they either tear the House democrats new butt holes (preferably) or they simply exonerate the President.
