One procedural thing about the UK election that was a relief

The votes matched the pre-election polls. The consistent 8-12% Conservative lead over Labour in the poll of polls meant that no one challenged the result when the gap was 11%.

I hope the US election runs along the same lines, reflecting the actual wishes of the people. The last election was the first time the numbers were a little strange, but only in the swing states.
