It appears that UFO sightings are reaching some sort of new high...

First off, I need to say that I've personally never seen anything in the sky that could be called a UFO, however, a bit over a year ago, there were some amazing looking Lenticular clouds near our home:

But I have to admit that I've been to Roswell, New Mexico, and really enjoyed how the city has made a cottage industry of the UFO phenomenon, including, but not limited to, the choice of street lamps:

But seriously, I bring this up because of an item I read today about the recent increase in UFO sightings. I've seen some of the articles reporting that several Navy pilots have seen so-called UFO's as well as people posting images and film clips of strange looking things in the sky (everybody today has a camera in their pocket):
