Seems like the right thing to do, given the taboos against such things.
But it challenges some ideological notions from a conservative perspective. Was the spirit still in her body? If it wasn't, was he interfering with her, or just the empty vessel of her corpse.
For those of us who believe in the coherent physical, chemical and biological construction of a body and the mind that goes with it, then I suppose it is a crime against a person. But I don't really know what laws apply.
