Thing is, folks who spin fake conspiracy theories about things like the murder of Seth Rich and Uranium One need to admit their mistakes and explain why they made them. Certainly, they also need to avoid suggesting new ones, unless they have a long list of facts to support them. And not facts from dodgy articles on conspiracy websites. But facts they themselves spend time writing down and explaining. Because at this point, those of us who are sceptical and who have said so over and again aren't interested in new wacky theories from the GOP tailpipe.

The good news for GOPers. There will be more conspiracy theories. They are cheap to invent and take a long time to debunk. So they have a useful shelf-life. And a willing audience of rubes who fall for them on EVERY occasion.

The one truth is that folks prone to conspiracy theories will believe new ones and won't learn from the failures of the old ones.
