Basically, GOP bobbleheads live in a world that doesn't exist, except to serve the GOP leader's and donors' whims.

It's a world filled with misinformation. They accept that misinformation as reality. Then try to impose their unreality on people who know what reality is. And are shocked and astonished that they say - "you are talking twaddle."

Seth Rich, Uranium One, Pizzagate, Benghazi, Whitewater. No amount of being wrong can cure these people. They are addicted to the whole conspiracy theory blindness.

And yet when confronted with an actual conspiracy to steal an election, they see nothing, hear nothing, and talk gibberish.

Can the US survive an electorate with such a large proportion of deeply ignorant people? If it doesn't change, I doubt it.

Not to worry because Trump's bobblehead supporters will say the process is unfair, and there's no evidence against Trump.

They won't acknowledge Trump's obstruction, the fact he has failed to represent his own defence and the plentiful evidence that exists. They will simply parrot what the right wing radio and television commentators tell them to say.

So basically, this has become a further attack on the Constitution and the separation of powers. The dictator president says he has the authority to treat the House with contempt. Perhaps he can. But then wave goodbye to what the US thought it had.

A lot of what existed, did so because it assumes that a president has the qualities of honour and shame. Trump doesn't. So what happens then?
