Not to worry because Trump's bobblehead supporters will say the process is unfair, and there's no evidence against Trump.

They won't acknowledge Trump's obstruction, the fact he has failed to represent his own defence and the plentiful evidence that exists. They will simply parrot what the right wing radio and television commentators tell them to say.

So basically, this has become a further attack on the Constitution and the separation of powers. The dictator president says he has the authority to treat the House with contempt. Perhaps he can. But then wave goodbye to what the US thought it had.

A lot of what existed, did so because it assumes that a president has the qualities of honour and shame. Trump doesn't. So what happens then?

Almost no chance. Most will vote for their party, not the law.
