Trump's version of Ukraine is the new Benghazi for the GOP. It doesn't matter that it's a conspiracy theory. The value is that it makes GOP voters think there's fire amid the GOP smoke. By keeping the conspiracy going, they control their supporters into imagining there's a plot in which they are the victims. And by the time the truth is discovered, they will have ginned up a new conspiracy in the series.
So Seth Rich, pizzagate, Ukraine One, Benhazi, now Ukraine. The GOP is a joke designed to fool extremely ignorant people into feeling that they are the victim of a cynical plot, when in fact, they are the victim of a far more sinister plot ... of their own party and its media enablers.
Unless the GOP becomes a party of truth, I don't see how the US survives.
