This suggests a permanent firing. That's an astonishing response.

It doesn't have the appearance of being what you do to an innocent man who did a poor interview. It's a humiliation. I am beginning to suspect that the queen has been forewarned that the evidence against Andrew is very serious. She's acting hurriedly as if she needs to inoculate the institution of the monarchy against a family member and former employee that has done something actually nefarious.

Was he really so foolish as to sleep with underage teens? I still hope not. But these responses suggest he may have done. If nothing else, the appearances are damaging. The punishment is already being implemented.

Of course, Andrew is the Queen's son and doubtless will love him even if he did a bad thing. I hope that would always be the case.

Prince Andrew’s Office Booted From Buckingham Palace: Report

After he officially stepped back from public duties.

Prince Andrew and his staff have reportedly been kicked out of Buckingham Palace amid a scandal over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Times of London reports the 59-year-old Duke of York was told that he and his staff would have to clear out of their offices in the storied palace on Friday and find someplace else to do their business.

The prince, however, will still be allowed keep his private quarters at the palace.

This comes just days after the prince announced that he would be stepping back from public duties, and after a disastrous BBC interview in which the prince spoke about his friendship with the late Epstein. According to the Times, Andrew is the first royal to step down from public duties due to reputational damage.
