Lawmakers in Oklahoma, which voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016, have proposed a bill adding DT's name to a stretch of an iconic American highway. The proposal would dedicate a 13-mile stretch of Rt. 66 to Trump and would be called the Donald J. Trump Highway. Lawmakers will vote on the proposal during the state's next legislative session, which begins on Feb. 3, 2020.
Commemorative roads are typically only two miles long, but one sponsor noted that it felt appropriate to dedicate a larger span of the highway because of "everything being huge when it comes to Trump."
He nailed that one: huge lying, huge abuse of power, huge emoluments violations, huge name-calling/insults, huge racism, huge trashing of traditions, huge loss of credibility with allies...etc
Route 66 is a sacred iconic highway. He should not be associated with anything sacred or iconic," one Twitter user said of the proposal.
