You can own guns and rifles in NY, you can conceal carry, except NYC, there are red flag laws, an assault weapon ban, etc., all the things Dems want to be a Federal framework for gun controls.
You want to sell privately? Fine. Background check, etc. Nothing gets by just because. I understand the inconvenience, but appreciate the RESULTS FAR MORE! Reasonable people understand it makes sense. The results speak for themselves. I know people who have guns and AR 15s purchased before 2013, all legal. So, nothing there there, other than the sense of safety walking in public venues in NY.
The results speak for themselves. No mass shootings, nothing. BRAVO NY, BRAVO GOV CUOMO. Also, NY does not recognize nor reciprocate gun regulations from other states, and only NY residents can own guns. This helps from preventing a “Chicago” situation.

So, anyone talking smack about how not to control gun violence, should refer to NY. Criminals will always have weapons to kill each other. Making it difficult to get and transport them, makes huge sense. But for the rest of America getting involved in gun violence and mass shootings, NY gun law is a model to use in the 21st Century in this country. The results speak for themselves.
