that Trump and his appointees, and probably nearly the whole Republican Party, think it is justifiable for Trump to rig elections in his own favour, and to do so under the aegis of a claim that the president's powers are essentially absolute.
They think the opposite is true if Democrats were to do the same things.
So effectively, we are seeing one US party, the GOP, that thinks its political beliefs are more important than democracy and override the rule of law. And another, the Dems, that encourages democracy and the rule of law.
This doesn't end well. The entire upper echelons of the GOP are fundamentally corrupt.
