Al Franken & Ms. Hill resigned for the good of their party.

I miss Al & if not for his questions to Jeff Sessions under oath, (later caught him in lying) he would not have recused himself from the Mueller investigation.

I hope he will run again.
I hope she will too, in time.
She is getting support from both parties because of the nude photos, and congress may make a law to protect folks from this. That would at least be something positive from this mess!

As to falling in love at work, most of our awake time is on the job with people that understand what our day is like.
If there is chemistry & time, that makes for a powerful combo.

married an employee. And I am not planning to criticise him for loving his employee, or Melinda for falling in love with her husband.

There is no legislation that can properly stand between people falling in love. The pursuit of happiness is above the law: the US constitution was created to defend intrinsic rights.

There is no certainty in the moral or ethical case against loving relationships either. General rules don't apply. Every one is unique.

I am in no position to judge Rep Hill. Nor is anyone who reads the news.

Sometimes, it is best to stand back and not express an opinion. I see no reason for her to resign over matters I know little or nothing about. My only observation is that ethics committees are often likely to be far too puritan for my taste.

A senator was also made to step down for a wrist-slap offence recently. Subsequently, many folks apologised for their decision over it.
