Undermine Schiff.
Disrupt the news.
Assert a false reality.
But NEVER address the actual words of the call and the surrounding behaviour of the US government. Couched as a "favour", but actually a carefully prepared extortionate quid pro quo, Trump required that Ukraine must launch an enquiry of his political opponent in order to get access to weapons granted to their country in law.
That's to say, he treated the delivery of US weapons as a gift to the president of Ukraine so that, in return, Trump would receive the personal benefit of a meritless and corrupt investigation. The investigation was intended to generate dirt and thereby improve his own electoral chances. The witnesses all corroborate the sequence of events. They show that the call was a piece in an extortionate puzzle involving bribes and other elevated crimes.
The solicitation of bribes is impeachable conduct, as, surely, is extortion. It is remarkably clear that Trump solicited them. Not only through the call but in his instructions to his enablers. Trump will be impeached.
Nancy Pelosi's decision to expose witness information will make concealing the truth hard. The only real question is whether Republicans dare admit the truth in the senate trial which will follow, as the facts are obviously damning.
Joe Sixpack deserves a corruption-free representative in the White House.
