But, still, last Saturday at the Hillrock distillery in Ancram was a a beaut. Awesome bourbons and ryes, to make Kentucky cry. A rare setup in beautiful grounds made even better by stunning foliage colors.
These are the benefits of being up here, which make it difficult leaving NY, the culture and variety of EVERYTHING. Having a great braised beef dish at the very old Stissing House in Pine Plains, a few miles away puts the cherry on the pie. Very few places combine what NY has to offer to such a great extent.
There are buts for everything, though.. it’s time for S Florida now.
