Cross-channel illegal immigration is a hard task. Surely it isn't worth the risk.

They will throw the book at the lorry driver, who looks complicit in their movement. A murder or more likely a manslaughter conviction may cure the temptation in other lorry drivers to participate.

British police launch murder investigation after 39 bodies found in truck

Oct. 23, 2019 at 4:50 a.m. EDT

In a statement, the Essex police said the victims, which included a teenager, were pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of the morning Wednesday. The truck is believed to have come from Bulgaria and the driver, who is from Northern Ireland, has been arrested.
