Speaker Bercow is surely the most hated man in Britain, tonight. Takes something to displace Tony Blair. But he has done it.

Not unexpected. The partisan speaker has ruled not to allow a vote that Brexit supporters would win, because they would win it.

We are in unprecedented territory. The deal has a popular majority, a majority in the Commons, the government and the EU support it. But the Remain-supporting speaker is preventing a vote to resolve the issue, finally.

People have gone to the Tower for less.
