If nothing else, Boris has shown that May's approach was hopeless. With the EU, you have to push back hard or they will not budge. Because Boris threatened them with No Deal and ran the clock down, they finally have compromised some.
Not sure what the deal is. Or if it will pass. But it won't be worse than what May agreed. And hopefully it will be a lot better.
Given the Trump mess, we may be well-advised to keep a toe in Europe. Countries that believe in liberty need to be able to stand together against autocracies.
