Yes. But Trump is roping Pence in. So the GOP will face the prospect of losing both or neither. That makes the latter more likely.

I'd do the deal to be rid of them both if the constitution permitted it. But apparently it ain't possible.

No.

That's what the election is for.

Trump would need to be convicted in the senate before Pence would take his place. I would be shocked if enough republican would vote to convict (I think 20 would be needed).
There is NO way the senate would convict Pence knowing Nancy is in the wings.
