Florida is a shithole with great winter weather and sunshine.
To be a shithole, any place has to be inhabited by a nucleus of enough low lifes to make it sustain shitholness.
The first thing I noticed when I started going there for a couple of weeks in winter was that the toll takers, at the time, never even looked at who was giving them money. It was so impersonal and cold, I never forgot it, as I had never seen it anywhere else. A hand came out, and the gate opened, like a machine. It left a huge impression.
It’s a strange state, with lots of people of low morals, class, and character, let alone stupid.
Never seen a worse place in the south, in terms of the people living there. Most other places I’ve been to were quite friendly and polite.
As I said a few days ago, I had realized at some point that when you sit on a bar stool in FL, especially in south FL, south of Palm Beach, never assume anything about those sitting next to you. They could be anything from pole dancers to mercenaries and everything in between and ...beyond.
I hate those traits, but love the sunshine and the ocean life. One day I’ll make a choice.
