Morning Consult poll today shows rising support for impeachment:

Last week 36% support, 49% oppose

Now 43% support, 43% oppose

Same with NPR/Marist:

April 39% support, 53% oppose

Now 49% support, 46% oppose

Doesn't sound like calling for an impeachment investigation is the disaster some predicted. Looking at you, csl.

Of course, Trump fans are outraged. But they are and always have been a minority of Americans.

I recall the midterms when the claim was made that there was somehow a secret Trump majority in America's heartland. That was just before the invulnerable, gerrymandered GOP majority was wiped out.

I must say, this isn't the kind of day I would like to have made for my president.
