It wasn’t going to that hard. You just declare it lost, and apply for a new one, get some pictures and send them in with some money. So, the wasted time for pictures and the few hundred bucks were the issue. Not as difficult as losing a wallet with lots of different stuff in it. The teal problem would be if I had to go back to Montreal to get a passport from the consulate, and waste days and time, and much more money.

Fuggetaboutit.

From now on, the one last thing I give up control of, will stay with me and my stuff ALL THE TIME. Never out of my sight. With my stiff. No #2. NO 1 was going to the airport in Athens for a flight back to NY, a few years back, and being told “ the plane taking off NOW is the one you were supposed to be ON”. OUCH!

That was BAD. It took 4 days to get back, and involved flying to Brussels, staying in a hotel there, and on another flight from there to NY. And ..money. Much more money. You don’t wanna miss your flight back from Europe in the middle of summer. You’d be on a wing holding for dear life getting back.

There will be no NO 3.

Excellent ending, I can feel the relief when you found out, as well as their relief as well..

It's such a pain to mess with replacements, lost my wallet a few years back, here, in CA, had to have been found, but I never did.. Had $2-300 in cash, plus CCs, ATM, CDL, medical and auto insurance cards, and then try to remember what all was in there..

Cancelled all the cards, chased down all the other cards, but it took a while.. I had stopped by an ATM on our way to dinner, had trouble getting my wallet back in my hip pocket, so most likely when I got out at the restaurant, it must have fallen, un-noticed.. Went to pay, no wallet! Inlaw picked up the tab anyway, but I still try..

More careful now, once was enough!
