It cuts both ways, as the US is a major oil producer, so the supply side will benefit from high prices. But consumers (also known as voters) will have problems.

I think a recession is probably coming regardless of oil. It may make it happen quicker.

Strange that Trump hasn't tweeted anything, the Saudis are his best buds.

If gas & oil prices rise & stay higher, this is a tax on all & will increase the odds of a recession & really hurt Trump.
