Actually, it won't be necessary. Johnson will cede Conservative constituencies with Remain MPs to the Brexit party, as well as Labour Brexit constituencies in the north. Johnson could end up with a majority of 100 MPs in a new parliament.

Mrs May had no support so the Remainers knew they could undermine her by threatening an election. Not the same equation with Boris. They are desperate and in a panic.

All of the Conservative MPs who are trying to stop Brexit will get recalled by their constituencies for fresh elections. These folks aren't representing their voters or meeting their commitments to the Conservative Party manifesto from the last election.
