Here's the item with the story that Hartmann was referencing in his blog entry:

A new poll shows what really interests 'pro-lifers': controlling women

How Did the America Media Miss that the "Pro-Life" Movement Isn't about Saving Life - But - Is About Women Under the Thumbs of Men?

by Thom Hartmann

Anti-abortion groups want you to believe they're all about saving "unborn" human lives, but a new poll shows that, for the majority of abortion rights opponents, that's a lie. The "pro-life" movement, it turns out, is fundamentally about keeping women down - a sentiment that's even shared by a majority of women who support forced pregnancies. For example, a majority of anti-abortion advocates say that men make better leaders than women. Forced-pregnancy advocates dislike the #metoo movement, and they don't think a lack of women in positions of power is a problem. "Pro-lifers" tell researchers that it's ok with them if women don't have access to birth control and, broadly, their opinions are openly hostile to women's rights.

What a surprise that the anti-abortion movement isn't about babies at all, but instead about keeping women under the thumbs of men.
