My first Audi Q5 had 99000 miles and had never been in the dealer for a single repair, until I traded it in a few months ago, for one with all the assist sensors in the world, digital cockpit, adaptive cruise control, Carplay, etc. the only reasons I got rid of it, a more up to date vehicle. It still had the original battery in it, since Aug 2011 I bought it, 2012 model. Eight years of no expenses other than gas, filters, oil, wiper blades, and tires. I expect to have a wonderful experience with this one too. My Golf R, similar technologies included, has a 6year/72000 mile warranty. I don’t expect to use it much, as my experience with high end VWs has been excellent, only one out of four GTIs I’ve owned since 2006 had a water pump replaced on a recall, and a special fuel booster pump in the engine area replaced under warranty, the symptom being the car not being able to go past 60mph, never stranded on any road anywhere, anytime, for anything, never missed work for car problems, zero.
Awesome transmissions and engines, the Golf R a dual clutch electronic one, the Audi an 8 speed auto that feels nearly the same as the Golf’s, no engine surges, no noise, efficiency, mileage at 30 to 33, for both, at 65mph speeds, which I don’t think is matched by any car in the market with such powerful turbocharged engines, 228 and 292 horses respectively. Cockpits? To die for.
Hilarious, no, corpsy?
