Attention is going to focus on her from here on.
Before casting judgement, I want to say that we had a huge scandal of a similar sort in the UK and it turned out the accuser was a fantasist. As always, I will be looking for the pattern.
But it's worth trying to stay open-minded about who is involved, what happened and which laws are involved. For instance, I have no idea if it's a crime in the event that a 17 year-old person who hails from a state which protects minors under aged 18 is enticed to a state in which minority ends aged 16 and she is encouraged to perform sex acts there.
It could be the Roy Moore story all over again. Gross and seedy but possibly not illegal. Or it could be that Epstein is a horrible villain but others are not. Or it could be Ghislaine is a next generation version of her father, who was as dodgy as a bouncing check.
