So this is where it gets interesting.
The Remainers are determined to stop the UK exiting Europe, regardless of the referendum and the recent European election results.
The Brexiters are determined to leave, whatever the cost and however they play the rulebook.
The Remainers hope the queen will come to their rescue. But that looks unlikely, especially because the man they expect to lead them is willing to break up the United Kingdom.
The EU is crossing its fingers that somehow, a no deal Brexit will be defeated. But they aren't preparing for it as diligently as they should.
Ireland is effectively out of the EU if no deal occurs, as they can't operate within a tariff free zone if their goods pass through the UK, which they must.
If only the EU took a constructive approach. But they see the EU as a prison from which no one can escape, and anyone who tries must be punished. And so there are no talks.
Rubik Cube?
Game of Chicken?
Risk?
Making a European Empire doesn't work.
