Trump is now blaming the media, as if they had kept quite about Ratcliffe's lack of qualifications or his padding of his resume, Trump would not have been forced to drop his sorry ass from consideration. I think his real fear was that Senate Republicans were about to kill the nomination so this way he gets to save face and keep in place the narrative that the GOP is 100% behind everything he does, something that just might come back to bite him and the party in the ass come next November.
