Following the Justice Department’s announcement that it is resuming use of the federal death penalty, support for capital punishment has fallen to its lowest level ever.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 49% of American Adults still favor the death penalty. Thirty-six percent (36%) are opposed, while 16% are undecided.
