Amusing to watch a former Republican admit the party's failure, but who still doesn't realise the slope the party is on commenced long ago.

The party that lied their way into the Iraq War and abandoned science in favour of faith in the Bible and a brutal form of capitalism was setting up the underpinnings for Trump. Boot was one of the last people to see what was happening.
