Now and then, clo will blather on about a woman's right to an abortion - but her arguments are patently absurd since she is at least two generations removed from having sex, much less needing an abortion. Reproductive rights are NOT what she really cares about. They couldn't be. But she, along with just about every other Democrat, won't say aloud what it is that really matters. I learned long ago that this it is because Democrats are actually driven by things that embarrass them, things that reveal their own failings as employees, as family members and as adult human beings.

A person who is successful and self-sufficient in life doesn't need OR WANT government. But failures do. This is definitely the case with clo. She has daddy issues that translate into hatred and fear of men. She has filled the void introduced by her own broken upbringing (terrible parents!) with government, embracing it as if it loves her and will take care of her forever. In fact, it and the divorce culture government fosters has taken care of clo for her entire "adult" existence. If and when it ceases to do so, she won't know what to do. She will either have to prostrate herself before her sisters, children and friends in order to be fed and have her diapers changed, or she will die. It's just that simple. She knows this. She's not going to talk about it, though.

It's not easy on a person's ego to be a lifelong failure, unable to meet his or her own needs. Liberals compensate for this by telling themselves that it is OTHERS that they care so much about. That's just about always a lie. Liberals are far removed from saints. They'll talk about wanting to increase the minimum wage in order to give others a "living wage," but ignore the fact that doing this will cause many people to be unable to get a job. They'll talk about wanting to let anyone who dreams of being an American to live here, but ignore the fact that many who show contempt for our laws and sneak into the country aren't dreaming of being Americans but of opportunistically gaming our flawed system for their own ends. They'll talk about their hatred of racism and demonstrate against it by berating and attacking people of a different skin color: Whites. In other words, by being racist. They'll talk about giving reformed criminals a second chance, but usually have ties to that element themselves.

It's all about perception, stroking their egos with a lie that they are superior people who care while conservatives are not. Democrats, however, are frauds. Most only care about themselves. Therefore, micro, when you called clo "the HYPOCRITE of the Century" you hit it on the head. She is an old, lonely, bitter woman who never had the ability or desire to work and therefore finds herself today in the unenviable position of being financially insecure, unloved and increasingly desperate. However, she still enjoys spreading bullshit and pretending that she's strong and important. Being a Democrat lets her get away with that. Such a hypocrite! But she's in good company with all the other liberals this world has somehow produced.

Democrats will never engage in honest conversation about this. They hide being a facade that disintegrates if it is ever scrutinized, and that would be a shaming experience. (One thing about liberals: They don't lack for pride. They're losers who still manage to think the world of themselves! Their many flaws are always someone else's fault, you know. So no analysis. No scrutiny. No shaming. )

The saddest thing for liberals is that it didn't have to be this way. When clo grew up, it was easy to have a good life. Any healthy person who worked hard and lived responsibly could have achieved a secure and happy retirement ON HIS OR HER OWN. However, few Democrats operate that way. They have a common failing: They are irresponsible people. They don't save. They don't stay true to their spouses. They don't take parental responsibilities seriously. They don't plan on answering to God.

When they think at all, liberals think nanny government will always be there for them. It won't let them screw up too badly. Why , then, not live for the moment? Why not just play endlessly? I remember having that feeling. I was eight at the time. "No worries! Mommy has always has always been there for me. She always will be." That's their mentality as adults, right along with "Why work when there's welfare?" and "Why save when there are food stamps, Medicare, subsidized housing and social security?"

It'll be a rude awakening one day when reality asserts itself, which it inevitably must. An economy cannot survive when large numbers of its citizens cease to be providers and instead become parasites. clo has probably figured this out. She's just hoping that things will hold together long enough for her to die of something else instead of starvation. And maybe it will. She might get lucky. She's officially an old woman now, 70-years-old. There was a time when she didn't think she'd ever make it to 70! Consequently, she's never, in any sense, taken care of herself. My own opinion is that she's unlikely to last another ten years. MAYBE the support she depends upon will be there for her remaining years. Maybe.

So, is clo ever going to have this discussion with you? Of course not. She'll just go on as she has, cloistered with her small number of failure friends, getting twisted satisfaction from insulting the system and people who allow her eat, telling herself over and over how much better she is than the heartless conservatives who have the temerity to live good lives.

Personally, I don't know why people would want to be that way. When you're older, the charity of others... even in the form of government assistance... is a bad thing to NEED. When folks are young, they should be doing everything they can to ensure that they'll never be in that vulnerable position. But so many don't, and one day they turn SEVENTY YEARS OLD with nothing to show for it: Just empty bank accounts, children who don't really care about them, and empty lives. What a nightmare.

I chalk it up to a societal sickness, mental illness on a grand scale. Fortunately, liberalism has a cure. Unfortunately, none of us are going to like it very much.
