My kids surprised me with a party to celebrate my 70th!
My daughter hosted it & did most of the planning & work.
My oldest son came up from Virginia with his daughters 15 & 16. Savannah the 15 yo is a terrific photographer, she was taking pics.
My youngest son & his 22 yo daughter Tori. I took care of her for years & we are the closest.
My nephew & his wife & their two kids, Valentina, I took care of her for the first 2 years of her life, & her younger brother Thad. I asked her if she remembered me crocheting her doll a blanket, she said she still has it ;))
My niece Melissa, her hubby & two kids.

And a few friends.
I was truly surprised, my daughter planned to take me for lunch & when she picked me up, said she forgot her wallet & had to go back home. I told her I had money, she said she also had something for me. She said it was on the patio & to come & see it. When I turned the corner & was in shock!
My oldest was still in the house & waited till I greeted everyone & came up behind me with the girls.
That did it, happy tears.
I told them they didn't need to come to my wake, since I don't plan on having one ;))
I hope I remember this until the day I die.
