Who can blame him?
The litigation gravy train makes this response necessary. It's too expensive for people to defend themselves and thus too easy for supposed victims to extort money for avaricious purposes.
You don't end up with a nice, egalitarian society by these methods. You end up with men in a defensive crouch, suspicious of women's motives.
And yet there are genuine female victims and bad men and women who don't take advantage of a pernicious legal system and honourable lawyers. Difficult problem to solve, but metoo isn't the way.
