Mom Drove With Kids In Inflatable Pool On Roof Of Car: Cops
Police say the woman had her daughters sit in the empty pool to hold it down on the ride home.

DIXON, IL — An Illinois mother is facing charges after police say she was caught driving her car with an inflatable swimming pool on its roof — with her daughters sitting inside the empty pool. Dixon police said they received a 911 call from a witness who spotted an Audi Q5 heading north on Peoria Avenue with two children sitting in a pool on the roof of the vehicle.
Officers searched the area and spotted the Audi driving west on Route 2 with a blue inflatable pool on the roof and the children in it.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, identified as 49-year-old Jennifer A. Janus Yeager of Dixon. Police said they learned that Yeager drove into town to inflate the pool at a friend's house. She then had her two juvenile daughters ride inside the empty pool to hold it down on the drive home, according to police.
Yeager was endangering the health or life of a child and two counts of reckless conduct. She was also cited for failure to secure a passenger of the age of 8 and under the age of 16, and was released from the Dixon Police Department after posting bond.
Dixon is located about 35 miles southwest of Rockford in Lee County.
