There's no such thing as a perfect document.

...there is an old adage that the sum of the parts must equal the whole. I dunno where I heard that. Probably high school before they disposed of science in favor of teaching kids how to put condoms on a bananna. Part two of that is that if the sum of the parts is greater than thw whole there is something there ya don't see.

...When I look over the constitution, I become aware that the whole of the constitution is greater than the sum of the parts (the founding fathers) What is the part not seeen? For me, it's the hand of God.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Re: "Don’t expect the Constitution to solve every issue."

The Constitution states that issues not specifically described are to be resolved at the state level or via amendment (which is also done largely at the state level). I therefore challenge you to come up with an issue that the Constitution doesn't address.

Re: "It is an imperfect document as I have been finding out time and again as it is now being tested hard."

That's a laugh. There's no such thing as a perfect document. What country do you think has a better Constitution?

If the Constitution were ever to be replaced, I'd lay you odds that the new document would be a significant step in the wrong direction. Consider: What group with the political savvy, competence and good intentions of our founding fathers could be assigned to write it?

BTW, I thought you were moving. You'd best get on with it or Colorado will revoke its invitation.
