I'd stop about 80 miles East of Grand Junction, in Glenwood Springs. A much nicer place, in my humble opinion.

Check it out for a move from NY.

I’m done with the east. I want to go to an active, semi arid place with 300 day sunshine a year, western culture, food, and every which way activities, gravel biking, mountain biking, hunting, horses, you name it, great food, excellent healthcare, low taxes, and excellent food, small town but sophisticated open air living. Very close to amazing Moab, UT. The arches, Canyonlands, blah blah blah. If you go there, you’ll never come back.

F the east, the south, except for my Miami south, the coasts, and e everything in between. Montana, Bozeman and Livingston in particular have been my other options, but they lack enough cycling, where CO is a cycling mecca, cycling races and events every week.

I can do winters in Miami and summers in CO and Greece. F the rest. LOL
