That is the issue. No one understands why she keeps putting basically the same deal up for a vote. No one voted for that. Maybe she agreed it with Mrs Merkel, but we're not Germans.
And that's the whole point.
All we leavers want is control of our own decisions again. That ought to be simple. I still like Europe, want to trade with Europe. Just don't want to be part of an empire called Europe. Just like I want to be part of NATO but like to have an independent military.
One size fits all works well only for the folks who define the size.
What the EU really needed and wouldn't agree to was a system that had some countries doing the sorts of integration they want, while others have a looser affiliation.
