The moment Mnuchin opened his mouth, he was breaking federal law and was at risk of criminal prosecution for a felony which could include fines of $10,000 and five years in prison, and could result in him losing any chance of ever holding a job in the financial industry again. It's amazing what these people are putting at risk for themselves and their families, all in the name of protecting Trump from the public finding out the truth about him and his family's past criminal behavior. It's worse than a cult, it's more like a suicide pact. They fail to understand that even if Barr's DOJ does not bring charges against them now, if Trump fails to win reelection in 2020, the incoming Attorney General very well could.
