I reckon if Biden wins, which already looks likely, he will want Harris as his veep.

I like Warren but I am thinking she is a tad hostile to business. Probably comes from being an academic.

Good news for Joe, Elizabeth & Mayor Pete.
Bad news for Bernie.

Quinnipiac Poll shows Biden with huge lead among Democrats

Sleepy Joe? Not quite -- at least according to the latest polling from Quinnipiac.

Former Vice President Joseph Biden is surging among Democrats and voters leaning Democratic, with 38 percent of the vote, followed by 12 percent for Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, 11 percent for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and 10 percent for South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released Tuesday.

California Sen. Kamala Harris has 8 percent of Democrats and Democratic leaners, with 5 percent for former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas. No other Democratic contender gets more than 2 percent.

“The Democratic primary race suddenly gets real with a fast start by former Vice President Joe Biden and a very clear indication from voters that he is the only candidate who can send President Trump packing 18 months from now,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

Fifty six percent of the poll’s respondents said Biden has the best chance to beat President Donald Trump, followed by Sanders at 12 percent. Also, 23 percent said Biden has the best policy ideas, with Warren at 19 percent.

The poll also asked voters of they would support a gay man running for president: 70 percent, including 46 percent of Republicans, say they would. But 52 percent of those voters said they don’t think the country as a whole is ready for that.

“The good news for Mayor Pete Buttigieg is that voters seem ready to accept a gay man as president,'' Malloy said. "The bad news for Buttigieg is that voters believe it just isn’t going to happen.”
