Even a heartbeat is an improvement on the usual absolutism.

For me, a key deciding factor is that women who have sex should have access to affordable pregnancy testing tools in order to make their decision in a timely fashion.

As long as everyone has time to make a decision, then I think the objections are diminished.

I don't know how long is needed to make a decision, but I do think beyond the first trimester is too long because other factors come into play.

Incidentally, I more-or-less disregard GOP concerns after their support (or lack of objection to) child-snatching. They don't care about children. They care about the feeling of smug self-righteousness they get from claiming to care about foetuses. Used to think they were sincere. Given their recent hypocrisy I am surprised they haven't agreed a two trimester abortion timeline for black mothers.

Me too.

But many of these conservatives want a 'heartbeat' to be the deciding factor. That's not reasonable.
