Yes, the machine does both 8 mm and Super-8.

As for copying slides, I've done lots of that as well, nearly 4800 images. Also over 7600 negatives. Years ago I bought a Canon film scanner:

It has film holders for four mounted slide or strips of six 35mm negatives as well as those old APS cartridges. When I bought it 17 years ago, for nearly $1,000, it was top of the line, 4,000dpi and in those days I had an Apple Mac tower and I used a SCSI interface and it was very fast. Of course SCSI interfaces are long gone with things like laptops, but it also had a USB interface, but since it was only USB-1, it's much slower (I wonder if they make a SCSI to Thunderbolt interfaces).

IF/When I find that box I'm missing, I'll send it out, there;sa company here we had our wedding movies digitized, VideoBrite... No sound on those old 8mm films!

What was the machine you used? handles 8mm, Super8?

I have a ground glass contraption, play yje 8mm into one side, then digital tape it on the other side.. But, I think there's bound to be a lot of graininess with it, so I haven't tried yet...

Another project in the wings is a batch of 300+ slides I have to digitize, they are from our 1979 trip to Ancient Greece, a week on a land tour, then another week on a small ship of maybe 150 passengers.. The Ouzo Express, we called the group of 5 or 6 couples, singles that linked up... Fun trip, always meant to go back again.. I have a slide scanner, again, better results if I do it...

Have to find that box of films, early kid stuff, films I took over in the Marshalls... Has to be here somewhere...
