Warner Bros. Shuts Down Trump's Insane ‘Dark Knight’ Video
One is an eccentric billionaire who has used his wealth to gain unrivalled power, the other one is Bruce Wayne. But Donald Trump's attempts to compare himself to Batman have faltered after Warner Bros. shut down his video using the score from The Dark Knight Rises. The two-minute 2020 campaign video became unplayable late Tuesday night, hours after Trump posted it to Twitter. It showed badly-edited jump cuts of the Clintons, Barack Obama, hundred-dollar bills, and Trump speaking at rallies and walking through the corridors of the White House. “First they ignore you / Then they laugh at you / Then they call you racist,” read a caption in the truly undecipherable video. “The use of Warner Bros.’ score from The Dark Knight Rises in the campaign video was unauthorized. We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed,” a company spokesperson said in a statement Tuesday. The video was gone by midnight, replaced with a message that read: “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”
