Prime Minister Theresa May said she would work with the opposition Labour Party on a Brexit compromise and seek an extension from the European Union.

Mrs. May’s statement was a significant retreat after she had repeatedly pressed her own Brexit blueprint only for it to be rejected by Parliament three times.
But how and whether her new plan will work — and whether the European Union will grant her request for another delay — remained unclear. There are less than two weeks until April 12, when Britain is scheduled to leave the bloc.
