At least 14 people dead, dozens more injured after tornadoes rip through eastern Alabama
Powerful tornadoes sped through southeastern Alabama on Sunday, killing at least 14 people and injuring many more, Lee County officials said.
The tornadoes touched down amid a severe weather outbreak across the Southeast, according to the National Weather Service. The director of the Alabama Management Agency told NBC affiliate WSFA of Montgomery that the agency was getting reports of significant damage.
