By putting active duty federal troops on the border, we're getting close to violating the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which makes it illegal for federal troops to participate in law enforcement activities inside the borders of the United States. This is why, whenever there has been a need to use 'troops' to augment law enforcement, that this has fallen to the National Guard, which are technically under the control of state governors and while there have been times when these national guard troops have been 'federalized', they are still technically NOT active duty federal troops.

So why are deplorables around the country hoping for it?

The Constitution doesn’t matter now, I guess so long as they do what tneir stupid brsins want.

Money only comes from Congress, and the Army is only there to fight wars.
